• In google webmasters, I get a bunch of different 404 errors for pages that don’t exist for my site. For example, there is a find_us/ and a sample-page/ and I can’t find these pages. I recognize that there were pages like this at one time but not any more. I am new to web building and wordpress–I need to figure out how to delete (or something) these URL’s that don’t exist any more. All of these pages are pointed to by my own web site. The site is https://www.fullpotentialoutdoors.com
    Thank you.

  • Submit a new sitemap and check the links afterwards.

The links not found list also may include links from other sites and old links that Google searched once, and which are not available now. It may also contain links from the search results of other search engines.

So, check the nature of links which are shown as not found/ 404.

Thank you Krishna. I have not submitted a site map and don’t know how. That is another issue. I believe now that you have explained this that these are old links. When I google my home URL, I actually get the older links to show up in the search and when you click on them you get a 404. Is there a way to get rid of the old links without a new sitemap…which I can’t do.

What is confusing to me is it is saying that the URL’s that are in error are coming from my site-yet those pages no longer exist.
