Can it possibly be (!?) that the standard text editor in word press does not recognize links when you type them in? For example, when I write “www.orf.at” shouldn’t it make a link out of it for me, like it does in a word processor or in typo3 or any number of other wysiwyg editors????

    Thanks for any ideas.

Hi, thanks for the idea. But that doesn’t do it, honestly. I get this wonderful string with https://www.orf.at but it does not make a link out of it for me…

doh, sorry I got confused with the forum here.

No you need to explicitly make it a link.

Solution of sorts is the plug-in “Auto-hyperlink URLs”.
Works for posts, not for example for the wysiwyg editor for WP Responder etc.
