Hi – We use your plugin on several websites. However on one website, after a form is submitted, FSCF adds “#FSContact6” to the redirect page URL after redirecting. However on another website, the form just redirects to the proper URL without any additions from FS Contact Form added to the end of the URL.

The destination URL is very important since we use it to track Goals in Google Analytics, so I’m wondering why on one site FSCF adds to the Redirect URL and on another does not.

  • Hi lizwelshjbk what is your current entry in the redirect page?

Also what is the difference in the settings between the website that works and the website that does not work?

One website’s redirect URL is: https://smartcomplianceinc.com/formsubmitted
the second website’s redirect URL is: https://smartbidnet.com/formsubmitted

The second website, after form submission, redirects to that page but the URL is displayed as https://smartbidnet.com/formsubmitted#FSContact6 – However the first website adds nothing to the end of the redirect page URL.

And which settings do you mean?

    Thank you for your help!

Hi lizwelshjbk please read the following URL.

Hi – I think you misunderstood me. The redirect is working fine. The issue is the URL is displayed differently. And I just need to know if FSCF is going to add to the URL every time, in that case I can note that for goal tracking in Google Analytics. Again the content at the redirect URL is loading fine, it’s just that in some instances FSCF is adding text to the end of the URL displayed.

Hi, the reason why I sent you that URL is for you to check your plugins or theme. Sometimes a plugin or theme can cause strange behaviors like adding some wrong redirect at the end of the URL.

That entry “#FSContact6” is letting you know that it is using contact from 6. Do you have a contact form 6 in the website?

Hi someone was having the same issue as you. Please read the following support thread for their solution.

Thank you! I fixed the problem. All I had to do was go into the Advanced tab and de-select “Enable an HTML anchor tag on the form POST URL.” for every form.

Hi lizwelshjbk that is great news ??

Can you mark this support thread as resolved if you don’t need any more help.

    Thank you
