url rewrite with not – but . (point)

    can it be solved to use . in the url rewrite?

    if I give a title of more words, the plugin makes a – sign between the words.

    Title:New cars on the market
    Plugin rewrite this:new-cars-on-the-market.example.com
    I would like:new.cars.on.the.market.example.com

    Can it be solved somehow?
