  • Even though the host and server will be the same, this involves moving WordPress. See: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Moving_WordPress

    That still did not help.

The wordpress url will stay the same, since that is the url at which it is being hosted. The blog url needs to change. Correct?

What, exactly, is the PROBLEM you’re having? Not ‘I want to change the domain name’, but the actual errors you’re getting.

Both URLs need to change since your block has ‘moved’ to a new location (yes, I know it stayed put psychically, but it doesn’t know that).

If the move has already happened and you can’t get into your blog to fix the URLs, check this: Changing The Site URL

It is telling me there is a fatal error in the wp_header.php and on index.php line 17

It would help if you copied the exact error here ?? Each error comes with a little more information than just the fact that it’s fatal. There’s Call to undefined function and Cannot redeclare and … you get the idea ??

As I said, what, EXACTLY, is the problem. The actual, verbatim, errors. Ugly code and all. And use the backticks (see the note below the message text box) to wrap the code so we can be sure to see it.

    See this post

You may be missing files OR the permissions are messed up from the move.

The files are definetely there. I feel retarded with this whole thing…its probably a simple fix that I have overlooked…..

If you have an account with Cpanel and would like for me to take a look, post contact info. I know you said you were willing to pay, but I’ll look at it for free…if you just moved a working WP from its directory to root, it should be a simple thing.

Unfortunately I don’t have an account with Cpanel but im willing to look into it. my contact information is [email protected] if you want to contact me directly. Alot easier than the forums here.

Based on your email, if this is your site and it’s the one you are posting about, then it looks like you have a blog in the root. It seems to have a couple of problems, but it’s there. You’re not trying to put a second one there are you?

No. The site I am working on is different from my own and is not hosted on the same host/server

Did you check the file permissions?

    (@krystyl)

Yes. Im really at a loss for everything. I am not sure what to do anymore. ??
