Hi – if anyone can help me, I would be so grateful. I am trying to build a REALLY BASIC website. I used Wonder Blocks on WordPress because I thought it would be easy and it kind of was. But I think I built another version of the site using a Theme…? Anyway – I see 2 different versions of my website show up and I don’t know how to get the version I want to appear. I also need to know how to make it work for mobile. I am a major BEGINNER, so I have not idea what to do…I’ve searched, watched tutorials, chatted with hosts, etc but everyone wants you to pay and I am so dang confused. Can anyone answer a few simple questions without being too technical? THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Where, exactly, are you seeing the other version of the site?

Hi, thank you so much for the reply. I see 2 different versions. One shows up on the mobile phone and the other is on the laptop. I am using Word Press vis HostGator…could the problem be that I see the 2 versions because they are saving on 2 platforms or something? Also, it looks different on an Android vs iPhone – the images don’t show up on Android.

I am trying to have it appear like when I see it on the laptop. Is there a way to send you screenshots?

All I see at your site is a coming soon page, the stylesheet coming from the Hostgator coming soon plugin:

    <link rel="stylesheet" >

Would you please use https://snipboard.io/ to provide a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

Hi, thank you, again, so much for helping me. Yes, I just had to request help from the host to put a coming soon page up.

Are you able to help me at all? I am trying to build a super simple site like banksy.com

I will send screenshots of what I have built so far using Wonder Blocks, but I can’t seem to get the spacing correct.

If you have any time, I would GREATLY appreciate it! It should be really basic and quick but it’s taking me SO LONG, lol.

Let me know if you can see this – this is what I am trying to build, but I need to get the spacing done correctly.

Oh, I thought you were asking for help about why the site appeared differently.

I don’t even know what “Wonder Blocks” is. A search at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/ and Google is turning up nothing.

It’s an editing feature in WordPress – I am so confused on how to use it. I haven’t been able to find anything either. Can you see what I am trying to build? If so, do you have any suggestions on how to use the Bjork theme to set that up? In other words, can I build the simple site using the Bjork theme because I tried to use it, but discovered the Wonder Blocks as it seems like you can customize it easier…?

No, “Wonder Blocks” in not an editing feature in WordPress.

There’s the Block Editor, aka WordPress Editor, aka Gutenberg, but it’s never been called Wonder Blocks: https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/wordpress-block-editor/

There’s also the Site Editor which uses blocks, but it’s also never been called Wonder Blocks: https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/site-editor/

If you are seeing something called “Wonder Blocks,” what plugin is providing that functionality?

    Thread Starter bspohk

    (@bspohk)

LOL, thank you – ok yes, I was using the Block Editor but also using Wonder Blocks simultaneously and so I was seeing 2 different site, but now I have put a “Coming Soon” page up so I can figure this out.

Do you have experience using the Block Editor? Like can I drag the blocks so it spaces correctly? I don’t seem to be able to add images/logos. I will read the links you sent.

Which is easiest to work with? Block Editor or Site Editor? THANK YOU!!!!

Ok, but I still don’t know what “Wonder Blocks” is.

Would you please let me know where you got it from, or what plugin is providing that functionality, so I can actually attempt to help?

Which is easiest to work with? Block Editor or Site Editor?

The Block Editor is for writing/editing posts and pages.

The Site Editor is for designing your site.

    (@bspohk)

Thank you – I am trying to find where I used Wonder Blocks but now the site I designed is lost! I changed the landing page to a simple “Coming Soon” and I can’t find any of what I’d built. UGG

So now, I have to build it again…do I go to Dashboard, Appearance, Editor and use that? If so, I am so confused…it seems hard to do. Anything easier?

Really appreciate any guidance you can offer. Again, trying to build the most basic site ever and it’s proving to be really hard. If I use a template – like BJORK, can I alter it? In other words, can I insert images and a menu where I need to or is that why I need to use the Site Editor? THANK YOU – I owe you.

If you use a block theme, like Bj?rk, you can control your design in the Site Editor: https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/site-editor/

Here’s a full video tutorial if you prefer that: https://learn.www.ads-software.com/tutorial/intro-to-the-site-editor-and-template-editor/

Oh wonderful, ok I will watch that. If I can send you a screenshot, can you look at what I am trying to do. It looks like I can’t insert 2 images in the same row with the Editor…?

All I need is a basic logo on the top left, a 5 link menu under that that will click to different pages and a main image posted just to the right of the sidebar menu that can be changed weekly. Just like this: banksy.co.uk
