url strange issue

    Hi!

    Just installed Polylang, strange things happening with the url.

    1. First, after installing and activating the plugin, my home url shows the name of the page (or the id, depending on my permalinks configuration)

    2. Secondly, I tried to change the home page, to see if that was fixed, and the page doesn’t change. the home keeps using the same page.

    Question:
    I don’t quite understand the plugin url configuration settings. Why would I like to append to the url the language?

    like : https://local.mysite.com/en/my-post/

    Would an old post (a post that I created before installing the plugin) still be available with the new url?

    example:
    old post: https://www.mysite.com/my-first-post

    new post: https://www.mysite.com/en/my-first-post

    note: I installed, and then uninstalled the plugin, because I accidentally set my custom language to the language I wanted to be secondary. I tried to switch them, but I didn’t seem to work.
