I made a MaxMind free account so i can get geolocation data base. (my product tax is different in each country) I use geolocation with cache support, but after my url i have strange symbols. Example:
    https://www.mySiteName/?v=461b1990fe86

    how can i remove ?v=461b1990fe86 ?
it appears on every site link i have. And i see it only when i choose geolocation with cache support. If i choose only the geolocation option, the symbols disapear.

I have no idea what is the reason, so if you have any suggestions i will be more than happy.

    Thanks!

  • Hi @lesi2000

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you want to remove the unwanted characters added to your site’s URL when you enabled geolocate (with page caching support).

The purpose of this string is to help WooCommerce calculate tax and shipping based on a user’s geographic location. The string helps make the feature compatible with WordPress caching plugins like WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache.

Selecting the option Geolocate only will indeed remove the unwanted added characters in the URL, however, this option is not compatible with static caching plugins. This will show incorrect shipping and tax information to users due to the previously cached page.

    Hope this helps!
