URL tag is crashing with Responsive Lightbox

  • Hello, we just discovered another issue with all Addthis plugins: the suffix tag it adds to the URL is crashing with Responsive Lightbox by dFactory. It guess it may do the same to plugin scripts that relies on calls for base URLs. Is there other way to do tracking without the need to add a tag to the URL to avoid this issue?

    Hi there,

    If you go to the Advanced Options on the AddThis plugin and uncheck both Clickbacks and Address Bar Shares under the “Tracking” section the suffix won’t be added to the URL and you should get things working. Here’s a screenshot for reference: https://i.imgur.com/FH970ec.png

    This hasn’t been working for our site. Somehow the tag was back on the links and causing the same crash. We discovered that when that was unchecked, the same Facebook account would have trouble sharing a second page from the same site. The sharing window goes blank. We have not tested it thoroughly though, and using only Safari. Really can’t spend more time on this.
