Really a fan of the Hustle plugin! However, I do have a question about url wildcards. I have 2 urls:

    • xyz.nl (Dutch language)
    • xyz.com (English language)

I want the Dutch slide-in to be visible on xyz.nl only, not xyz.com. I tried to use the condition for specific url’s and excluded xyz.com/*, but that doens’t seem to be working as the slide-in keeps appearing on both domains.

Anyone more info about how to use the url wildcards in this case?

    Hi @budje

Sorry to hear you are having this issue.

It seems the correct way, adding the specific URL option > All except xyz.com/* without http or https, however, I would like to run some extra tests on my website to try to replicate this behaviour.

Are you using a plugin to map your language domain, for example, WPML plugin?

    Hi Patrick,

Thanks for your help, highly appreciated!

Indeed, we’re using the WPML to map our language domain and translations.

    Hi @budje

    Thank you for the information.

I checked this using WPML plugin and worked as expected.

I configured the PopUp to for pt_br to show only on there URLs: mysite.net.br/*

Then a new PopUp for EN version.

    Kindly try using this setting.

Let us know the result you got.

    Hi @wpmudevsupport12,

    Thanks again!

My situation is slightly different, because I also have certain pages on .nl that I need to exclude for the slide-in. Therefor I have to use the ‘All URLs except’ option, and that’s different from your test. Please see:

    https://postimg.cc/XGBSJpXr

The excluded .nl urls work fine, it’s just the .com pages on which the slide-in keeps showing up despite the settings for visibility.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

    Hi @budje

Is the slide-in still active on the site? If yes – should I click on some element to trigger it?

I’m asking because I’ve just visited the site and went through the pages that are excluded (on the screenshot that you attached) and some other randomly selected ones and I didn’t see any popup/slide-ins anywhere there.

    Best regards,

    Hi Adam,

Thanks again. The slide-in is still active, no special element clicks needed. When I visit the website the slide-in appears on the first excluded page I visit:

Could it be the case that you closed the slide-in, so it doesn’t appear anymore at the moment?

    Kind regards,

    Hi @budje

    Thank you for the update.

In your case, I suggest using two different groups at Add conditional group to define your rule:

    https://monosnap.com/file/z0WlzFj986Ul3PbkBLs76KYSYDd3Uz

Only These and then the wildcard for the domain that you would like to show on all pages, and All URLs except for the domain that you would like to exclude only some pages.

Let us know if this works for you.

    Hi Patrick,

I adjusted the exlcusions based on your image:

    https://postimg.cc/pypfFv18

Unfortunately, still the same issue. The slide-in is displayed on pages on both domains. Any other suggestion on how to fix this, as I’m really a fan of Hustle but can’t use the slide-ins properly at the moment?

    Kind regards,
    Paul

    Hi @budje,

Can you please try changing the rule of your conditions to ANY and see if it works after that:

    Hi Predrag,

Thanks, I changed both rules in ‘ANY’, but no effect unfortunately. Would it be easier for you if I give you temporary access to our website?

    Hello @budje ,

Thank you for the export. I’ve done some tests and it looks like to make this work you need to combine Specific URL with Pages Rules.
So use Specific URL to show the slide-in only on .nl domain, then add next rule (in the same group) Pages and there exclude those pages where the slide in should not show.
In the Group select ALL to Show.

Let me know if this will help.

    kind regards,
    Kasia
