• Hi,

as the topic title says, I noticed that the urlwrap=”title” option does not seem to work when there are two or more spaces in succession in zoteros title field.
The title is displayed correctly but no urlwrap happens; the a-tag is missing when I view the entry in an inspector. When I delete the extra space(s) the urlwrap works correctly.

    EDIT: using Zotpress 7.1.5

Just wondering, is there a good reason to have two spaces in the title field? I would be inclined to think it’s title formatting/entry issue …?

The extra spaces were a mistake by my client (I work for a health care website). Still, it confused them why some urls would work and others wouldn’t. I admit, it is a simple problem to fix on the users side but if they don’t know what to look for, they struggle to get it fixed. My client tried to find the cause for hours until he gave up.

Thank you for finding this problem!

I have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out why I wasn’t getting the anchor wrap in the title field of an entry. I was working on a custom style, so I assumed it was something deep in Zotero/Zotpress/CSL. Much simpler (but absurdly hard to find…).

    Hi,

I just found out that the same problem happens with special characters like “:”. Is there anyway to fix it without changing the titles?

Thank you for this wonderful work.

Actually, the problem seems to be double-spaces, but including other characters, like ” : “, or ” ? ” (which is the normal spacing in french).
That can be fixed by using the English spacing, but it’s a bit annoying.
    All the best.
