Us an image for the actual text background on a blog post

Hi,

I’ve looked around for ways to change the background of the text on a post, and I understand changing the color. What I want to do is use a textured background for the blog post text background. For example; this post I’m doing now would have a textured background or other image I choose. The reason I want to do this is because I want to have texture around my posts using galleries.

Is that possible?
