    Dear Woo,

    Usability ‘improvement’ suggestions . .

    Thank you for your ongoing iterative development of WooCommerce ecommerce plugin .

    We have a few customer usability ‘improvements’ for your consideration, if you will .

    We have, previously, communicated these, ‘simple’, advantages toward more unambiguous use of the Woo SHOP to our popular and mature ecommerce theme provider, yet continue to wait, ever patiently, any roll-out among their regular theme updates . Making us curious if we should be communicating with you for any possible remedy . . since we are unable to be sure of who is best or even able to make these minor ‘improvements’ for customer navigability of the WooCommerce shopping experience .

    # Some or all of our products are limited to a single count (of one) per order . . and Woo / theme do usefully support that feature . . and when any customer puts the item in the ‘cart’ the link changes from ADD to VIEW . . nice, thank you . . but returning/ refreshing to the SHOP or CATEGORY or PRODUCT page does the customer again see ADD where VIEW is the proper link text for the duration of the ordering experience until after checking-out whereupon reset is logical (and, true, variations may demand individuality that is not, foreseeably, code-able) . And that updated Woo code would negate the, co-dependable, need for Woo / theme to produce the error message to the customer advising that they are unable to add further quantity for the duration that order experience . Yes, we are making clear in our textual content that affected products are limited to any max order qty for the ordering instance .

    # We would dearly love to be able to Customise the ‘CART is currently empty page’ imagery and text in the Woo / theme admin to better match our language and imagery in-use elsewhere on our ecommerce website .

    Imagery link .

    We acknowledge the potential deflection to more advanced coding customisation as our care. . yet do appreciate the rapidly iterating usability of WooCommerce admin and if not now then maybe you would consider these few ‘improvement’ requests worthy of your future iterative road-map .

    And, yes, we acknowledge our potential ignorance of, any, available plugin(s) that do, already, serve the purposes described . Holla, y’all, if you know .

    Anyways, thank you for reading and thank you for WooCommerce open web ecommerce products and services .

    Mean-time and for now,
    Much appreciated . . much obliged . .
    Yours sincerely,
    Stuart :-}

  • Your point 1:

    I don’t think improvement suggestions get much coverage here. This is a support forum. The recommended place for suggestions is here:
    https://ideas.woocommerce.com/forums/133476-woocommerce
    You can make a new suggestion or look for a similar one and support that.

    Your point 2:

    The text should be changeable using the Say What? plugin
    https://en-gb.www.ads-software.com/plugins/say-what/
    which is easy to use for changing a few strings.

    To put in images, you can make a custom cart page template. PHP skills or a developer would be necessary, but WooCommerce is built to enable this so its not a big job.

    If you have PHP skills, there are quite a few net articles on customising WooCommerce templates to guide you through the process.

    Hello lorro,

    Thank you for your responsive get-back and helpful assists .

    We have now added our ‘improvement’ suggestion to the WooCommerce ideas queue, thank you .

    And we have commissioned and implemented the Say What? plugin, thank you . Nice .

    We’ll edge ourselves closer to any template maintenance as later resort, if prioritised as necessary, with eyes full wide, to contain the ongoing support and maintenance demands of the web-property to a constrainable, balanced, ‘perfection’ .

    Mean-time and for now,
    Much appreciated . . much obliged . .
    Yours sincerely,
    Stuart :-}
