Could this be used to generate static html for a specific page made with a page builder such as elementor?

    Hi @mdc2957,

Yes, it’s a great use case. https://wp2static.com is built with Elementor.

Divi, Beaver Builder and Brizi known to work. Some issues with YooTheme’s builder I’m working on.

    Cheers,

@leonstafford well that’s interesting.. Let me take it a step further. Is it possible to use WP2Static to output html code that could then be used in another platform to make the same layout I had in Elementor? For example, I want to use a hosted LMS, but its sales page builder is lacking.

Yes, I could make the page in Elementor and simply link the enroll button to the checkout page on the hosted platform. The problem with that is tracking code such as FB pixel. It won’t track from one domain to the other. So this other platform will let me insert code to build the page. So I was looking for a way to build my page in Elementor, and copy the code, and linked CSS files, whatever is necessary, in order to use it in this other platform.

That may depend on the LMS. If you can use general static HTML/CSS/JS, it should be fine.

Please let me know any issues you encounter.

Here’s the video that got me thinking about using Elementor:

and yes, the LMS I’m talking about is Teachable.

I have been trying to use WP2Static with Oxygen Builder and I have an issue where the pages output are kinda skewed. My homepage has only the header background and nothing else. Other pages seem to have links to certain images on the net IE https://domain.com/image.png, so those are still being loaded from external servers. I chose the “deploy static website” and checked the “offline usage” checkbox. Also, on the “processing” tab I left all defaults – Use relative URLs is unchecked and Base HREF is empty and unchecked. Are we thinking WP2Static will be compatible with Oxygen Builder? ?? I m also using on a Bitnami WordPress 5.1.1 local VM dev environment everything seems to be OK otherwise.

    Thank you lots!

    Hi @yosamuel91,

There is sometimes an issue with Bitnami stacks, where the mod_pagespeed uses URL rewriting as part of its caching mechanism. This needs to be disabled if that’s the case (we can confirm by doing an export with Debug Mode enabled (Advanced tab), then checking the Export Log (Logs tab).

You can more quickly chat with me via our Slack group here: https://wp2static.com/community

    * For the Offline Site, this is intended for running from your local computer, so won’t resolve links properly if served in the usual way.

    Cheers,

    Leon
