• I have my sidebar set up without widgets (the sidebar is widgetized). I have popular articles, adverts, subscription area, etc. When I add a widget, everything else disappears. I want to add just one widget to my existing sidebar. Is there a way to add a widget without it removing everything that’s already in the sidebar. Here’s the site

That’s standard behavior. Adding one or more widgets to the sidebar will cause the default sidebar content to disappear.

You have to use widgets to put the links back into the sidebar.

Pick widgets from the widgets here:

Admin – Appearance – Widget section.

if I do that – I’ll lose the popular articles and advertiser section in my sidebar. I tried copying the sidebar info into a text widget but everything gets out of alignment.
All I need to do is be able to load the current Vimeo video – is this possible?

Yes, I have that plugin. My problem is that I want to keep my sidebar as is and when I add the one widget everything else disappears. I realize with widgets and the sidebar it’s all or nothing. So I guess what I’m looking to do now is add that widget and be able to incorporate the sidebar code I currently have into a text widget. I tried adding my code to a text widget and it shows up but it’s offset – everything is shifted slightly to the right.
