Use “Admin” theme on front end
-
My site is mainly used by logged in users. Some of the plugins I’m using have very good functionality but can only be accessed by users in the admin area. For the most part, I have done what most do, try to move admin content into the front end to make the experience more seamless for my users. My question is… can I do the opposite?
The admin screen is quite well built for users on desktop and mobile alike, and it looks pretty good too. I’m looking for a starting point on using the built-in admin “theme” on the front end, for instance using the menus and “look and feel” but displaying posts, pages, and CPTs. Then, when my users need to access the back end content, it is a seamless experience… only reversed.
I’ve done a bit of research but haven’t seen much. Is there a way to re-use the wordpress “admin” theme as a starting point for a front end theme, for logged-in/ logged-out users alike?
