Hi, on my previous sites when I used the plugin then during the setup of the plugin it created Google Ads accounts and a Google Merchant account for me, my new site already has a Google Ads account and a Google Merchant account and I want the plugin to use them and not open new accounts for me, how can this be done ?

When I already have existing accounts will the plugin use them automatically or will it still open new accounts for me?

  • Hey there, @thekinder1212! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Yes, you can connect an existing account.

Google Listings & Ads needs 3 accounts to work properly: A WordPress account, A Google account, and a Google Merchant Center account.

First, ensure that you are logged in with the right email address from both WordPress.com and Google, then go to the WordPress dashboard >?Marketing?>?Google Listings & Ads, then connect those accounts you had.

Kindly refer to this setup guide for your reference:?Google Listings & Ads

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!

Hey, I just set this up today with existing accounts. I did have a issue with trying to connect my Google Merchant Center account and to resolve the issue I had to log in to google merchant center and do a couple things (unsure which resolved the problem):

Under Google Merchant Center > Settings and tools (Gear) > Apps and Services:

    1. I removed the link to google AD’s (previously done for other reasons)
    2. For some unknown reason (previous attempt? other plugin? failed script?) I had “woocommerce” showing up as a connected app. So I removed it (which now I am thinking might be the hook for google merchant center reviews**) **will have to check this now

Once I did both those things, I was able to connect via the setup screen. now, when I navigate back to the “apps and services” settings screen it reconnected my Ads account (expected) but I do not see woocommerce anymore (although I can confirm the plugin is working and uploading products to google merchant center)

Feel free to reach out. Just trying to do my part for the community. Good luck!

P.s. thank god for custom attribute mapping! this plugin would be 1000% useless for existing stores without it
