Use and deactivate?

    Hi, seems that people are not too happy with this plugin due to the buggy update recently. I’m just wondering if I can use the plugin to add a line to my cron and then simply deactivate the plugin. I just need to add one line and I don’t need to manage the cron on an ongoing basis. Would this work?

    The problem you’re referring to was fixed back in July.

    Yes you can use WP Crontrol to add, edit, or delete a cron event and then deactivate it, but you’ll need to be certain that the event itself won’t get overwritten again by whatever plugin added it in the first place.
