Use clone to override existing site

    i built a demo site that I want to migrate. I use duplicator alot, but its usually on a fresh domain.

    The domain I want to migrate to already uses wordpress and has content that I no longer need. Can I use duplicator to completely override the existing wordpress? Or will I have to remove all wordpress files completely from the database first, then use duplicator as usual?

  • Hey Matanacio,

    Its recommended to always install from an empty directory and connect to a database that doesn’t have any tables. This is normally the safest approach, of course there are other advanced strategies, but if you want to keep it easy and simple just remember empty directory and empty database…
