Use correct bbPress profile link

Hello,

we’re using bbPress and the login with ajax plugin to provide users to our forum (multisite install in a subfolder) with forum-only login, registration and password links. So far this is working fine thanks to the plugin, but I would like to know if it’s possible to change the edit profile link destination as at the moment it’s taking the forum user to the global WordPress profile edit page – https://www.example.com/chat/wp-admin/profile.php, and not the bbPress specific url which is https://www.example.com/chat/users/username/edit/

Is it possible to do this via an override or filter, or would I have to edit the plugin file itself?
