Use date modified instead of date created for posts sidebar?

  • Hi! I’m about to sign up for Pro, but wanted to double check some things. Right now, my right sidebar listing my posts only shows the date created. Is there a way to have that show date modified instead? Thank you in advance.

    Mission News doesn’t have this feature for the widget, but I think it could make a nice addition in a future update.

    While I can have this added, it is also good to be aware of the limitations of modified dates in WP. The modified date updates every time the “Update” button is clicked in the editor, so fixing a typo on a post, for instance, will lead to a new modified date. Most people are looking for static date based on a major rewrite, and WP doesn’t have a good option for that right now.
