Use downloaded file name in CF7 Email

  • Hello Forum,

    I’m wondering if there’s any way to retrieve the name of the file being download from the CF7 form which is used to trigger the download. I’d like to customize the email as “Thanks for downloading [download-data data=”filename”]!” or something like that…

  • EBD Setting 9.1 lets you put in custom stuff for the email that goes out. If you look underneath the box for 9.1 you will see a little bit of help text that tells you about tags you can put in there like [filename] or [file_name] (can’t remember which it is). I don’t know if that works, but it’s supposed to .. try it and see.
