I recently installed and customized your awesome theme. My goal is to display every post like the sticky posts (on blog page, archive page, search page). This is working fine for the first 10 posts (number of the posts which are loaded initially per page), but as soon as I press the ‘Load more’-button the remaining posts are loaded, but the Javascript to make them fullsize is not executed, so the featured image for the reloaded posts is just content-width. If I manually resize the window the Javascript is executed and makes them fullsize, so I think I’m on the right way, but I just can’t find out, how I could execute the Javascript together with pressing the ‘Load more’-button.

Where do I have to make an adjustment to call the fullscreenFeaturedImage()-Function on the standard LoadMore-Posts-Button? (or Jetpack Infinitive Scrolling)

Actually I figured it out to use the post-load-event. I added this in functions.js and now it works:

jQuery( document.body ).on( ‘post-load’, function () {
sidebarSize();
fullscreenFeaturedImage();
bodyClasses();
bigImageClass();
toggleButtonTxt();
scroll();
});
});

Hi Lucia – just a quick heads-up that if you didn’t already make a child theme for your tweaks, please be careful to make a backup of your modified files when you next update the theme, as all your changes will be overwritten.

The best way to make changes to a theme is to use a child theme, so your tweaks won’t be overwritten when updating the theme. Here are some guides in case you haven’t made one before:

Hi Kathryn,
thanks a lot – I created a child theme for all the php- and css-adaptions.
But I did not find information what to do with functions.js-file … I think the best way would be to copy the file in the child-themes-folder? Do you have any information how this should be handled? I think the new functions.js-file would have to be embedded in functions.php-file?

Hi @tao7: You’re right that you need to add the .js file to your child theme folder and then use wp_enqueue_script() in your child theme’s functions.php file to enqueue the script.
