Use gift card in shop

  • We want customers to be able to use gift vouchers in the webshop. This means that the voucher represents an amount (for example 20€) and that this is a payment method in the shop. We tried to establish this with the standard Coupon code functionality of WordPress. But the problem is that the voucher codes don’t work for the shipping costs. I only can choose if the voucher code includes free shipping, but this means that the shipping is always free, whatever the amount of the voucher is. To show that I want I will use an example:

    Voucher code amount: € 20,-
    Product the customer wants to buy: € 15,-
    Shipping costs: € 8,-

    What we want is that the customer in this case needs to pay € 3,-
    But with the coupon code functionality you only have the choice: 1) always free shipping while using this voucher code or 2) Always pay shipping costs while using this voucher code.
