• The lightbox that comes with JG is really nice!

Would it be possible, with some CSS/JS tricks, to use the lightbox that comes with JG for other images, too? (not only for galleries)?

    Greets,
    Frank

    Hi Frank,

The lightbox only support galleries, but it is possible to handle single images too. I will take this into account in the next releases.

Now the plugin uses PhotoSwipe as a main lightbox. If you are familiar with JS, you can try based on the following documentation – https://photoswipe.com/documentation/getting-started.html

    Hi,

I’m interested to this feature. The plugin is great but we cannot use it correctly because it create the light box only for galleries. And single images keeps the original behavior which is not great…

    any advancement ?

+1 for single image photoswipe lightbox usage. Love the full screen and zoom but a one image gallery looks pretty silly due to the pic being so small.

Justified Gallery is awesome and single image lightbox would make it totally awesome

    A work around for now.
There’s a plugin called Boxers and Swipers. It’s a gallery plugin and includes photoswipe(among others) but the gallery layout is the standard wp type; ugly. However, using both plugins, you can turn off Boxers and Swipers for all galleries so that Justified Gallery does them and let Boxers and Swipers just handle the single images. That way you’re getting photoswipe for everything yet you get the nice Justified Gallery galleries. The single images can be thumbnail, medium, large on the page as is standard with a single image. Seems to be working with no conflicts. If I was a coder, I’d marry the two plugins.
