    Hi,

I really like this plugin. It has full locations options, stored in em_locations tab. I want to use several custom post types in my site, which are not all events or locations.

Is it possible to use the fields location_adress, location_postcode, etc… as custom fields for other custom post types ?

I use advanced custom fields, simple taxonomy and simple custom post type plugins but am ok to change if some other ones do the job.

    Thanks !

  • Hiya,

You can certainly use the same custom field names with your own custom post types. They won’t link in any way to EM though really as custom fields only really do anything in the context of the post they’re added to.

    Cheers,
    Phil

    Thanks for answer.

    I understand (I try to).
What I want to do is having just one location tool for all posts. I don’t want to use another plugin to locate because of update times…
is it possible to use location events manager tools for other posts, ? giving them a ‘events manager’ location as events cpt have ?

I think this functionnality is not clear in my mind.

    Thanks

I think I almost understand what you want to do but not quite ??

Are you wanting to use EM Locations as a category for events, blog posts and other post types?

Actually english is difficult for me.. that’s it, I want to use em locations for custom posts type as it’s used for events posts : a category, that you can edit within the event post !

English is difficult for everyone sometimes ??

You should be able to do what you want. This tutorial should help:
