Hello. I am a very grateful, and happy user the free version of Max Buttons.

We work hard to have an accessible website so love your plugin. Unfortunately, issues beyond our control have caused a change of all product IDs (twice since July), rendering our buttons and other shortcodes useless.

I would therefore like to switch to using SKUs which I can generate myself.

Please could you tell me whether your shortcodes support SKUs for “add to cart”?

Many thanks for an invaluable plugin.

    Hi Sarah,

Instead of the button ID you can also use the button name to load any buttons:

    [maxbuttons name=”SKU-123″]

The button name is a field in the top of the button editor. The shortcode also shows up in the button overview when a name is entered.

    Hi Bas

    Thanks for your reply.

I have a variable text-to-speech voice product called “Tessa – the Nuance female South African English SAPI 5 text-to-speech voice”. The variable “single user license” is GBP 55.00 and has the product ID: 17622

Using my button design #9, I use the following shortcode within a TablePress cell:

    [maxbutton id=”9″ text=”Buy Tessa” url=”https://limetech.uk/checkout/?add-to-cart=17622&quantity=1″%5D

I then edited Tessa to give variation 17622 the following SKU:
    tessa_single_edu_user1

I then changed my shortcode to:
    [maxbutton id=”9″ text=”Buy Tessa” url=”https://limetech.uk/checkout/?add-to-cart=tessa_single_edu_user1&quantity=1″%5D

Result: no product was added to the cart

The product in question is the first one listed at:
    https://limetech.uk/south-african-english-accent-text-to-speech-voices/

If you tell me what I have done wrong, that would be great!

    Many thanks again,
    Sarah

PS. Bas. I did not enter %5D. This forum page generated that.

Ah I think I understood wrongly then. Maxbuttons can be called by using the button name, but the URL / Link and any handling of that is down to the shopping software (woocommere) you are using.

A short google reveals there are some options for this. Note that SKU is meant to be numerical .
