Use of register_sidebar vs. genesis_register_sidebar

Simple sidebars was written before the genesis_register_sidebar was added to Genesis & neither of us noticed the register when we were doing bug fixes.

Hi Ron, no problem. Just thought I’d bring it to your attention, as it seems to me like using genesis_register_sidebar makes sense here. I figured it was just a simple oversight.

Any chance some of the official StudioPress plugins like this one will make it onto GitHub any time soon? I appreciate it’s a bit of a hassle to set up, but it would sure make sending patches your way easier ??

We haven’t discussed moving the development of the official plugins over to github but it is possible we might do that at some point in the future.
