use of shortcode causes formatting problem on home page

    When I use do_widget shortcode on the home page to display the “latest posts” widget, all other elements on the homepage show the following rendering:

    Latest News

    [raw]
    [/raw][raw][/raw][raw][/raw][raw][/raw]
    [/raw]
    Video from LMUG SV 2013 is posted

    [raw]On May 02, 2013, the 2013 LicenseMonitor? Users Group Silicon Valley happened at the Techmart. See Brian …[/raw]

    The actual rendering of the [do_widget “recent posts”] looks fine. It’s every other element on the page that renders with this raw tag.

    Can you explain what is happening? I’m using the TrueThemes Karma Theme.
