Which version of of PHP are you running, and which version of the theme?

I checked with Php 7.2.x and 7.3.x and I get error, with 7.1.x no errors.
It is a child theme of Harmonic 1.0.9. To upgrade it I Installed Harmonic 1.1.2, but now I have both.

Do you have any trouble under Harmonic 1.1.2 itself, without using the child theme?

Hello James, thanks for your reply.

There was this message in theme page:
    ————–
    Broken Themes
The following themes are installed but incomplete.
    Name Description
Harmonic Child The parent theme is missing. Please install the “Harmonic” parent theme.
    ————–
I deleted the Harmonic 1.1.2 theme and his child, so there is not the message anymore. The activated theme is Harmonic Child 01 (Version: 1.0.9).
Now, why Harmonic don’t ask for upgrade?

Anyway, with Php 7.3.x I get again the error:

Warning: Use of undefined constant REQUEST_URI – assumed ‘REQUEST_URI’ (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /web/htdocs/www.uaragniaun.com/home/wp-content/themes/harmonic-wpcom-child-01/functions.php on line 73

Please test under just under Harmonic 1.1.2, not the child theme. We need to do this to determine if the problem is only under the child theme.

Ok, I’m going to do it. Please, how to upgrade Harmonic from 1.0.9 to 1.1.2? Installing I get both.

From Dashboard > Updates in your site’s Dashboard, you’ll see all available theme and plugins updates.

@macmanx – will they be able to see an update notice in their dashboard if they’re using the wpcom version of Harmonic, and not dotorg’s version?

So they are two different themes?
There are not updates available indeed.

    Ah, hm, interesting.

Are you currently keeping backups of your site?

    (@antoniotheant)

    Yes. Why?

    Moderator James Huff

    (@macmanx)

    Ok, then follow this procedure:

    1. Activate the Twenty Twenty theme.

    2. Delete your current copy of the Harmonic theme, not the child theme. It will say the child theme is now broken, but that’s ok.

    3. At Themes -> Add New, search for, install, and activate Harmonic 1.1.2

Does the issue from earlier continue?

Hello James, installed and activated the 1.1.2 version, it works fine in Php 7.3.x, also as child. Thank you very much.

Excellent, in that case stick with that. Glad this worked out! ??
