    Hi Matthias,

    Just found this plugin and, as i think, it’s exactly what i was looking for. If it’s not much of trouble, i really need you feedback.

    I’m creating a membership site for musicians where they can create EPKs. Each EPK is a CPT post. I want to give them an option to assign custom domain to their EPK. Is it possible with your plugin? If yes, what do they have to do in order to map their domain to post? Is changing my hosting name servers in their domain registrant CP is enough?

    hy,

    yes you can do that with this plugin, although it will not work completely automated :/
    1. each domains A-record must point to your hosting server. this would be your clients job if you don’t provide them domain service
    2. each domain must be configured in your hosting environment, so that it points to your wordpress installation. this is usually done by hand
    3. the plugin works in a way that all domains are configured in one settings-page. if you use it as-it-is, you would have to make this admin page visible to your clients page role. but they would be able to configure also domains of other clients…

    i would begin with the plugin and serve the domain configuration as an extra-service which is done by you. if you see your site growing, you can use my code as a starting point for an automated solution. if you need help, i could do it as a business project for you, just get in touch with me through https://www.falkemedia.at/kontakt

    Hi,

    Thank you for all the info.

    Just to clarify about the process:

    1. A member points their domain to my hosting’s name server in their CP.
    2. I then point this domain in my CP to my WP root domain.
    3. In plugin’s settings page i point this domain to CPT post.

    I will be surly glad to automate this process. I’ve bookmarked your contact page for future possible cooperation, thank you for the suggestion!

    yes that’s the right way. if you don’t have additional domains by now you can also test the plugin with various subdomains of a domain you own ??
