• Hi all,
I’m building a website using WP as the back end for several functions including Gallery and a comments page.

One of the sections on the site titled “Articles” has several categories with several articles to go into those categories.

Commenting will be off and they’re remain pretty much stagnant.

What i’d like to know is which would be the better structure to use?
Method 1. Categories: Multiple posts within the categories and Mod the sidebar to say “Articles” instead of categories.
Method 2. Pages: Add a Main page and have each article as a sub of the relevant page.

I don’t most of the sidebar stuff and “Archives” is misleading in this context.

    Any help appreciated.

  • Method one mate. That’s a lot closer to the correct usage of WordPress.

OK, thanks. Any idea where i can change the text for the Word “Categories” across the board?

yeah, just do it by editing your sidebar.php

To be honest that’s all that’s necessary. I changed mine to say topics. the URLS will still say categories but unless you’re really anal about it that shouldn’t matter.
