Use Plugin to list of all children of Parent page

  • I’m trying to use WP Show Posts to create a list of all children of a given parent page, and I need it ordered by menu order. Is this possible with this plugin?

    I see that there’s a ‘Page’ setting for Post type, but selecting this post type gives me no other options, the ‘taxonomy’ dropdown below is empty. By default, this brings all pages into the list, and I can seem to find any way to narrow that down. I can add specific ids to the list via the “More Settings” tab, but that adds a level of upkeep to users that is probably not acceptable. There’s also no way from the “More Settings” tab to order by page/menu order, and none of the ordering options are particularly helpful for pages instead of posts.

    about the exact same issue, but the solution there was to modify the plugin files, which dead-ends my plugin. Is there anyway to add this extended functionality from functions.php?
