Use Plugin to list of all children of Parent page
-
I’m trying to use WP Show Posts to create a list of all children of a given parent page, and I need it ordered by menu order. Is this possible with this plugin?
I see that there’s a ‘Page’ setting for Post type, but selecting this post type gives me no other options, the ‘taxonomy’ dropdown below is empty. By default, this brings all pages into the list, and I can seem to find any way to narrow that down. I can add specific ids to the list via the “More Settings” tab, but that adds a level of upkeep to users that is probably not acceptable. There’s also no way from the “More Settings” tab to order by page/menu order, and none of the ordering options are particularly helpful for pages instead of posts.
I found this post
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/show-pages-child-parent-sibling/about the exact same issue, but the solution there was to modify the plugin files, which dead-ends my plugin. Is there anyway to add this extended functionality from functions.php?
