• Hi,

I’m wondering if a custom field of a post (or CPT) can be used in the SEO meta title of that post. This can either be through macros or programmatically but I haven’t been able to find anything relating to this.

This use case requires the use of the meta field as the default post title isn’t what i’d like in the SEO title.

Secondly, is it possible to turn off smartcrawl for specific post types or taxonomies?

    Thank you.

I was only looking at the macros in the plugin setting but found what I needed in the main documentation here https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/smartcrawl/#dynamic-macros

I would still like to know if its possible to turn off the plugin for specific post types or taxonomies.

    Thanks.

    Hi @temak

    I’m glad you found solution!

As for turning plugin off for specific post types or taxonomies – that’s not possible currently.

However, you can simply set just basic “default” title/meta structure in general settings for given post type or taxonomy type on the “SmartCrawl -> Title & Meta” page. If you won’t use “on page” SEO settings to overwrite them, it shouldn’t affect them much if you set it to “mimic” standard/default settings.

Is there anything specific you want to disable/achieve by turning off for specific post types?

    Best regards,
    Adam
