  • Hello,

To use a specific page as your homepage you can settings>reading on the left hand dashboard. From there, the first option will be “Front page displays”, and you can chose the radio button for a static page. Then, right below that you can chose whatever page you want for your home page using the “front page” drop down.

Let me know if this helps!

Yes, that works for a static page, but it doesn’t work for a portfolio project type. I tried doing it with some portfolio shortcode, but it doesn’t highlight projects, and the items aren’t laid out as neatly.

Any way to use the project type link as a homepage?

    Thanks!

To be more precise, this is the page I want to use as a front page:
    https://patenteux.com/wp/?jetpack-portfolio-type=projet#

It looks good, but WordPress will only let me use a static page as a homepage.

I can try building a static page with portfolio shortcode, but it doesn’t look nearly as good:
    https://patenteux.com/wp/?page_id=386

Any way to force WordPress to accept a project type as a homepage?
