use shortcode in excerpt attribute?

First, no need to apologise about the Dutch. We are quite big fans.

The attribute does not currently accept shortcodes… but we’ll look into that real quick and get back to you. Please stand by for a more thorough response.

Officially no… but, we are working out a work-around…

I have this terrifyiung clump of shortcode now doing exactly what I was looking for: chopping any text after 60 words, width collapse/expand.

Here it comes:

Mighty, mighty! Looks like you just got an extra dollop of awesome-sauce, my Dutch friend. We’ll test further and see if any thing else needs to be added to the plugin before pushing it out to the repo.

In the meantime, if you are happy (and you know it) please consider leaving a review of the plugin or it’s support.

Hey, just a quick note… you should update to version 1.6.3f and make the following changes to any shortcode placeholders:

%<% is now %{%
%>% is now %}%

This is due to standard greater/less-than symbols not being accepted in shortcode attributes across all versions of WordPress.
