Use shortcodes in Footer Text

    Any chance of making this possible please?

    Your theme is so good I don’t want to start fiddling by creating a child theme.

    I’ve instead created a plugin to output a dynamic date for copyright in a shortcode, but I can’t use it in the footer text field.

    Let me look into adding that to a future update. As long as this can be done in a secure way I should be able to include this feature.

    A child theme is a good way to add the shortcode right now. I think you may find it easier than you expect if you’ve already got some practice making a plugin for your site.
