  • Hi geckoblue4ever,

You could absolutely position a png image over the slideshow – but meta slider doesn’t make that any easier than any other slideshow plugin would.

How about ‘integrating’ the mask into the slides themselves? So each slide has the same mask on it, as part of the image.

    Tom

    Thanks Tom,

Thats a creative idea, but I’m not sure it will work. Unless the slider has some special transition effect to hide it, wont it just show one image moving off to the side and the next image sliding in? i.e., even if they have the same frame it will be clear its just different images with the same frame.

What I had in mind was using a mask to create a shape, then giving that shape animated color and texture. The original slider photos may not even be recognizable, only providing the moving colors.

Ah, I see what you mean.

I was thinking the images would be fading, not sliding.

You’d need to set up a slideshow, then put the mask image below (just in the page content). Then use CSS to relatively position that mask image over the slideshow – I think. As I mentioned before though, there’s nothing built into Meta Slider to do this specifically.

If you get the slideshow and mask image set up I’d be happy to help with the CSS to move the mask over the slideshow, just because I’d be interested to see what it looks like ??

    Regards,
    Tom.

I’ll see how far I can get and let you know one way or another.
