Use Submit function on different button

  • Looking for some advice on how I can use the submit button functionality (send the form information) and tie it to a button that executes another functionality.

    I have built a Contact form and placed it on the ‘Checkout’ page (woocommerce). I don’t want users to push a submit button twice so I want the contact form to send the email when the user hits the ‘Place Order’ button.

    Have you done this before? If so could you offer some guidance?
