Use tabs for navigation in form

I have made a multi-step form in Contact Form 7 with the plugin “Contact Form Seven 7 Multi-Step Pro”. The form has navigation buttons to move forward (“Neste”) and back (“Forrige”). When I hoover over the tabs, they seems to be a link, but nothing happens when I click the tabs. Would it be possible to make the tabs clickable so they can be used in the same way as the navigation buttons? I have tried to email the plugin author, but he has not responded me so far.
