Use the same domain for multiple wp sites?

    Hi, I have 3 sites setup as subdirectories in multisite on a development URL.

    example.com/site1/
    example.com/site2/
    example.com/site3/

    Can I have mydomain.com mapped to example.com/site1/
    and mydomain.com/site2/ mapped to example.com/site2/
    and mydomain.com/site3/ mapped to example.com/site3/

    Or do I have to put site1 in the root site for this to work?
