Use the showcase template but slightly modified

  • How can i use the Show Case Template, only NOT include the “Posts” or recent posts, featured or what ever its trying to show..

    i want a full width page template but im having a hell of a time, i like the show case template but i dont want posts on it.. its for a static page

    i think i was mistaken the showcase template uses a side bar? ah!

    the showcase template uses a side bar?

    the showcase template (I guess you are referring to Twenty Eleven) does use its own sidebar.

    however, to edit this to show a static page, you will need to do some serious reconstructing.

    i want a full width page template

    could be done with some css edits, in a child theme of Twenty Eleven.

    there are topics in this forum dealing with changing the width of the standard page.
