Hi I would like to show the title of the first post in the title of the page where it is shown. I would like to add it via code snippet. Is this possible?

I’m not quite sure I understand what you want. I think you mean something along the lines of having the first post title be the title of a page that displays a group of posts (like a blog page, or a category page).

If I understood that correctly, this would not be good for SEO as two pages (the post and the group page) would have the same title.

If I didn’t understand correctly, can you elaborate a little more on this topic?

Hello @amboutwe, thank you for your answer. Yes you understand right. However there will be no other page with the same title. The Post is from a taxonomy and will not show up as single page.

    Hi,

It is not possible with Yoast to output the title of the first post on a taxonomy page as the title in an efficient manner.

If you want an efficient way to do so you will need to develop on the plugin using the guide here https://kb.yoast.com/kb/yoast-wordpress-seo-titles-metas-template-variables/#filter to add it as a template variable.

The only workaround would be to edit the title of the taxonomy page and manually enter the name of the first post on it and change it as needed.
