• When I click on “reset password” in the login form of WordPress, I do not receive the mail with the link to reset the password. I have a work-around with the plugin “FrontEnd reset password”; with this plugin I receive the mail with the link to reset the password. Why does it not work with the standard form of WordPress ? Is there any thing to be done ? My blog is hosted by 1&1 company. Thank you

I wanted to tell you that this problem is not from WordPress software. If you provide the URL of your website then It will be easy to understand the situation.

Hey Naveen, The URL of my website is: https://choeurpolycantus.fr
Do you need anything else to investigate ?
I do not tell that the trouble comes from WordPress: I would like only to know where the cause is. Thank you for your help. Denis

    Hey Denis
Here is a duplicate post https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/suddenly-not-sending-password-reset-emails/ . I think you are also using woocommerce.
Give it a try and let me know if this helped you are not.

    Hello Naveen
I do not use “Woo commerce”. So I cannot do this try as suggested. I use the “classical” word press and this trouble comes when using the classical login windows of WordPress (https://choeurpolycantus.fr/wp-login). You have an option “lost password” to get a mail when you have forgotten your password (or also wish to have it changed). But I do not receive the mail. Whereas I t=receive a mail if I use the plugin “Front End reset password” developed by Square One Media. But I would like to have this problem fixed and corrected if possible. Thank you.

    Hey

OK for your response. But can you give me additional details
What is the technical mean that is used by WordPress to send the “rest-password” mail ?
Is it the mail php function ? the request a SMTP platform etc… ? It is necessary to know it to investigate with the hosting provider (which is 1&1)
    Thank you
PS: excuse me but I typed a wrong key and ma y response was sent not finished on the first time
