    Hello,
I work in the IT department of the University of Orleans in France. We use CAS and WordPress. But I have a problem: the email field is made by a professional number (CAS uses it as an identifier). If you change it by putting a real email, authentication stops working (WordPress error message. ‘Could not create a user with an empty login’ But the user already exists).
    Can you help me ?

Hi, the plugin currently assumes that the username is the email, but I can change that. I can add an option to specify which CAS attribute contains the email. Do you know which attribute this is for your setup?

Hi, new version 2.3.2 includes the ability to specify which CAS attribute contains the email address. You can change it in the Authorizer settings page.

Please let me know if this addresses your problem.

    Hi,
no, I’ve still my problem and the same message. We dont’t use mail to authenticate users but their professional number (uid). Our CAS can’t return email.

Every WordPress account requires an email address. So you’ll need to store an email somewhere in CAS to use it with WordPress.

Hi, curiously, UTHSC WPCAS extension works very well with our CAS.
But thank you for you help.
    Have a good day.
