    @foodergolove – Awesome glad you got it. We actually have an extension in testing for that, which also includes some other features like AJAX search results. You can see the search popup itself in action on our website by clicking the magnifying glass in the main menu. That is a PM popup.

    I’m also trying to figure out how to place a search widget into a popup.
    Could you point me in the right direction?

    p.s i’m trying to add the custom search widget not the builtin wordpress one.

    @mac4media – In this case your best bet would be to create a shortcode or find a plugin that can do this. The shortcode should output a custom sidebar, which you have assigned your search bar to.

    If you don’t find one I could probably whip up a plugin to do that. Let me know what you find, sounds like a decently useful idea.
