• As many other WordPress users, I was impressed with the functionality of Shareaholic. But with the latest version that suggest – ridiculous – content like “BETTER THAN BOTOX” or “Doctors shocked with local mom” from my website, I have become nothing less than a spammer for my readers. The annoying fact is that even by changing the settings, the links that have previously been injected below your blog, remain there. They just don’t go away. It leaves me no other option that to remove Shareaholic completely and look for another, less invasive solution. Everyone who tries to keep some serious blog in the air will do the same.

  • Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to us and I’m so sorry that you are having these issues with our promoted content! We definitely work hard to ensure the best of features for our users and all of those features are optional. Something isn’t working correctly in this case and we would like to fix this for you.

Could you please provide us with your website URL so that we can further troubleshoot?

    Thank you so much! ??

Thanks for your quick reply, but I am afraid that I simply had to disable Shareaholic. I will enable it again when and if I read in this forum that the promoted content is context relevant and does not resemble plain spam.

Hi @pstremus We’re working hard to increase the quality of advertising. We have a very experienced team focused on this now. In the meantime, you can turn off “Promoted Content” completely and have the app show only Related Content from your site.
