I understand your frustration. My frustration is being not able to reproduce those errors, even replicating the same environment. I think these 403 errors are due to hosting security rules and I’m struggling as I’m not currently able to avoid them.

I acquired the plugin few months ago, I guess it’s time to consider a complete refactoring, that won’t be fast unfortunately.

The paid version is optional so I’m not sure who should piss off. If it doesn’t work, you’re refunded, that’s shockingly easy.

Have to be honest about the 403 error I received on my WP sites. The cause of the 403 errors does not originate from this plugin.

For what is worth I shall give some technical information that may help others with the 403 error message. In my case the 403 error was caused by a plugin that rearranged the location of the JS (javascript). (Delay Scripts etc). Disabling that particular plugin did remove the 403 error.

As for my other remarks, I still hold them to be true. I have stopped using this plugin simply because it was getting too intrusive and into my face like an uncontrollable ad. That’s just my honest opinion. I don’t mind paying for plugins and in fact I rather pay for a good plugin that would help with my work.

Subtle interference is ok if it’s kept to a minimum.

A good tip to plugin developers who develop for the well informed WP user. Avoid excessive advertisement.
If we think we need more functionality and are searching for it then we usually investigate the PRO versions anyway. Don’t push it into our faces. We are not your average users. Hope that would give some clue to your audience.

You’re providing great informations here, now there’s a chance to avoid the 403 error or at least to provide an explanation. But please, can you tell me the name of that plugin so I have a starting point?

I’m also refactoring the whole plugin, I’ll take care of removing annoying upgrade messages. As I said, I didn’t develop the plugin so many things are new for me, I have never noticed those ads.

Look out for plugins that moves javascript location on the html page and/or minify them. I believe caching plugins can be a pain too.

Now that I’ve found out the real culprits, have gone ahead and removed them from use. They claim to make it faster (which I believe they do) but at the end of the day non-simple sites break down with these plugins.

Plugin(s) that conflict:
– Fast Velocity Minify – Causes 403 with your type of plugins,
– a3 Lazy Load – might, but not 100% sure.

Remove the intrusive, in the face messages, in order to keep users.

Suggestion for price:
give one price for pro version for use on unlimited sites for owner (around $30 – $40). Believe me, you’ll sell more. ??
