• There is no point in using this plugin if you use any 3rd party apps (lol, it’s a joke now)

    It doesn’t work with CF7 – use: www.ads-software.com/plugins/wpcf7-recaptcha/

This line “Support for adding CAPTCHA on forms by third party plugins has now been moved to Premium only (as it was originally supposed to be)” IS BS. If that was how it was designed, then it wouldn’t have had a readily available shortcode. Please stop making excuses for your greed.

  • What I have done for now is rolled back to the previous version. Edited the file “advanced-nocaptcha-recaptcha.php” and changed the version number to 999.1 so it never updates.

Note, this is a temporary solution until I find a suitable alternative plugin. Security-wise, it’s not an ideal solution, so would not implement it permanently.

Hope this helps someone as a temporary solution.

Agreed. I only had this plugin for the captcha V2 in the CF7, now its a pro feature I’ll have to implement something else, or just go with honeypot and captcha v3 not sure just yet

    Hello @chenryahts

Thank you for your feedback. I understand your frustration. However, rest assured that we are anything but greedy. As a matter of fact we are also giving away a free 90-day unlimited sites license to all users affected by this change to give them enough time to decide what they want to do without hindering the websites’ operations. If you would like a license, please [contact us]

If you would like to know more on why there was such a change, we have written about this in more detail in this post.

I hope this helps. Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Have a great day.

    What was that update?
No notice; break all the sites.
    What were you thinking?

    Update to prem’um?
Just as much work to replace
    Makes you go hmm-mm

    Don’t do it like this
This is why we switch plugins
    This is frustrating

@robert681 It’s not even necessarily the change itself that’s most frustrating, but how it was handled

@robert681 On the page c4wp-admin-settings, it says that one of the free placements is on the reset password form, but it isn’t showing up.

Please advise? Ended up looking at ‘ReCaptcha Integration for WordPress’ to fix the Woocommerce recaptchas, but it looks like it’ll do everything

And the description is very misleading:

“Easily add any type of Captcha check (such as noCaptcha or invisible Captcha) on any website form, including login pages, comments and password reset forms, and also forms by third party plugins such as Contact Form 7, WooCommerce & BuddyPress.”

That implies it was an existing feature ??

I’ve removed the comments asking people to download a different plugin. This is a review, not a request to find alternatives.

@robert681 – As a reminder, DO NOT ask people to email you off the site. If you want to make a form on your site to offer people a discount, that’s fine, but asking for email is not permitted on the forums.

Thank you for your help and guidance @ipstenu

I didn’t know about the emails, sorry. I’ll prepare a form.

    Have a good weekend.
