Useful, but very bloated

First things first: this is a useful plugin, I’ll likely stick with it because it just works and has what is needed for a discussion board to function.
However, it has a significant payload of bloat. For a forum plugin that claims to be the “best wordpress forum” also featuring a “simplified, modern look”, it has many, for me unnecessary stuff in it, as if I was making a time travel to the 2000’s. In short, I want a discussion board, not a 300 pixels tall dashboard on every page that brags about how many posts there are and other forum statistics.
However, with some redirections, tweaking, and turning off dozens of features, it can be turned into a nice looking discussion board in about 30 minutes. Thank you for making most of the bloat easy to disable, and thank you for making this great plugin.

Thank you for your feedback. But I’d recommend you to no be so egoistic. This forum is not developed only for you. The most features have been added based on dozens of user requests. People like each feature of this forum. If you don’t need some of those features it doesn’t mean they should not be there. We added many options to disable almost all feature individually especially for such cases and for you. So I don’t understand your rudeness and the low rating you left here.
All forum platforms have statistic bar, this is not an unnecessary bloat. it displays lots of information:- Forum, topic, posts, users statistic.

- Last posted topic
- Link to recent posts
- It describe topic icons, people should know what says topic icon…
Other professional forum platforms have even more data in this panel and it has more than 300px tall. I’d also add that wpForo stat bar height is 84px not 300px (bloated size).
This indeed came through as a bit harsh, and reading it back one day later, it indeed looks way more negative than what I actually had in mind. Allow me to add a correction here.
To recap my opinion, again, this is a great plugin. I mentioned this in the initial edits. It’s just initially way too bloated for someone (me) who is used to a clean-to-the-bone sleek UX.
I understand there are others with additional requirements than a simple discussion board, but I was especially doing a mention about the “simplified mode”, which was the selling point for me, and which claims to be “modern and clean”: yet it is not, at least not off the shelf, and not for my taste.
